Digital disruption has changed almost every major industry, but large scale energy management was still an untapped opportunity. While positioning for at home energy management tools is fairly established, there was a lack of clarity on how to design for one that was at a much larger scale. The challenge was how to design the brand, user experience and positioning for a new digital tool created to support energy management for large or multi-site companies.
CBA conducted research to determine industry whitespace and consumer needs and discovered that while cost is a huge consideration factor, reducing time and complexity on energy management could be a game-changer. As a result, CBA shaped the product’s service strategy to match, allowing the user to both control energy consumption and take automatic actions that can save time and cut down on complexity.
The product’s logo and visual identity emerge concretely from the sea of data and information, taking shape within a numerical matrix from which the letters of the logo arise. The product name Sensee is the union of sense and see: the capability of making sense of large quantities of data, and the brand’s tone of the voice is simple and friendly, communicating a simple and straightforward process.
